Michelle is a St. Petersburg native that grew up with a love for our beautiful beaches and water. As a world traveller and cultural enthusiast she’s practiced and studied yoga with diverse instructors for over 20 years in locations around the world including India, Europe and Australia.
Michelle developed a strong anatomy and physiology background as a previous aerobics and Step Reebok instructor. Her yoga practice focuses on proper alignment and a strong foundation for beginner to advanced yogis. Having received her yoga training directly from masters in India, she then continued her alignment-based yoga training at the Himalyan Iyengar Center in Dharmasala, India.
Her native roots and love for our beautiful beaches inspired Michelle to start Beach Yoga Pinellas in 2012. Beach Yoga Pinellas hosts amazing yoga classes on sugary sand beaches from Clearwater to St. Petersburg. The sounds of tranquil waves, crystal blue skies, and perfectly moldable sand as grounding provides a total immersion of the elements beyond any indoor studio.
To expand Beach Yoga Pinellas’ mission of blending yoga with all the senses Michelle has become a leader in SUP(Stand Up Paddleboard) Yoga and fitness classes.
She specializes in training yoga instructors on how to modify their practice to SUP and connecting with the water.
