Michelle Waltz is an E-RYT200/RYT500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).
My classes focus on integrating the whole body through sensory awareness, breath awareness and movement through the yoga postures. Each student is unique and so the poses are brought to the individual's body and energy level with the ultimate goal being stress reduction, a sense of well-being, increased flexibility, balance and strength.
I completed my 200 hour teacher training at the North Carolina School of Yoga (n/k/a Shanti Niketan Ashram) and my 500 hour teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center in Asheville, NC. I hold certifications in hatha, vinyasa (flow), yin, prenatal, children's and restorative yoga, as well as meditation. I'm also certified in the Yoga Warrior method for trauma, PTSD and TBI (traumatic brain injury) and I have a Therapeutic Yoga for Seniors certificate from Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, NC.
