Michelle Waltz is an E-RYT 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). She is also an Energy Medicine Yoga Master Teacher.

My classes focus on integrating the body and mind through sensory and breath awareness, as well as mindful movement through the yoga postures. Each person is unique and the poses are brought to meet the individual's body and energy level. The ultimate goal is a return to wholeness, including stress reduction, a sense of well-being, increased flexibility, balance and strength.

I completed my 240 hour teacher training at North Carolina School of Yoga and went on to complete my 500 hour teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center. I hold certifications in hatha, vinyasa (flow), yin, prenatal, children's and restorative yoga, as well as meditation. I'm also certified in the Yoga Warrior method for trauma, PTSD and TBI (traumatic brain injury) and I have a Yoga for Seniors instructor's certificate from Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, NC.

I'm also an Energy Medicine Yoga Master Teacher and EMYoga Rx Practitioner having trained with Lauren Walker since 2018. I'm now a teacher assistant for her EMYoga Foundations Online Yoga Teacher Training. EMYoga amplifies the restorative power of yoga by integrating the body's energy systems with time-honored yoga practices.

I have been taking classes from Michelle in Fuquay Varina for the last few years. She is a wonderful teacher! She is welcoming, patient, caring, gentle and so very kind! She creates such a calming environment for us to practice yoga in. It would be extremely difficult to find a better yoga teacher than Michelle!

Michelle is a wonderful instructor. She is warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Michelle works with her students to ensure they are getting the most out of every pose while ensuring that everyone is listening to their bodies and not over doing it. Energy Yoga has been a great addition and I look forward to Wednesday evenings all week long.

Excellent Teacher

Michelle is a wonderful teacher. She has a very calming voice that helps me to look within and not listen to so much of the outside chatter. She thoroughly explains the yoga poses and the benefits of doing the pose. I highly recommend anyone taking her class to learn and feel the benefits that yoga and energy medicine has to offer. Also, I love the extra touches she does at the end of class, if you want she gives you scented washcloths to cover your eyes and go deeper into shavasana and she also gives head rubs :)

The Best Yoga Instructor

I travel to another place in mind, body and spirit when I take Michelle's class. She is patient and nurturing and is very helpful in showing the class alternative ways to push yourself or when you need a modification. I always leave her class relaxed and at peace but most importantly I feel better about myself. I walk away with a new appreciation of life and all the beautiful things we can easily take for granted in our busy lives.

Great Instructor

Michelle is very welcoming and ensures that everyone feels confident regardless of their experience level. She has the most relaxing voice and tone and she always incorporates unique and inspiring themes for each class. Her classes are never boring as they're always different. I could not recommend her enough.

Michelle is awesome!

Michelle is an amazing yoga instuctor who has a soothing voice and makes class even more special with her love for yoga and her students. She exudes encouragement and confidence to everyone she comes in contact with.

Love her classes

I absolutely love attending Michelle's classes. Her class is a little more challenging for me but she always gives you choices with your poses. I always feel so great both physically and emotionally when I leave.

Love Michelle Waltz's Classes

You will love a yoga class with Michelle. She has a calming, serene presence and is truly in touch with what each yogi needs. Regardless of you being a new yogi or have been practicing for some time, Michelle will start with a basic pose and then add on to the pose. You can just stay in basic or try to "up" your yoga. She occasionally add meditation to the class. She has a theme for each class and will also ask if anyone needs a certain stretch, etc., before starting class. She'll read beautifully writings that help you calm down to become mindful and set your intention. Michelle has a wonderful way of closing, it's SO relaxing...but I'll let you come to class and enjoy the benefits of it!
