Mila attended her first yoga class after hearing it was a “great workout”. She quickly realized, however, that yoga is not just exercises on a mat but, rather, a practice for life.
As a former school teacher and professor of education, teaching yoga is the marrying of two passions for Mila. She is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, having completed her certification through Jonny Kest’s LifePower Yoga (LPY). Mila is honored to share the gift of yoga through her classes and as a LPY faculty member, delivering the 200-Hour LifePower Yoga Teacher Training program in the Atlanta area. She considers herself a lifelong learner and continually looks towards deepening her own knowledge and practice of yoga.
Mila provides a safe space for her students to not only meet themselves where they are and as they are, but also to seek deeper connections to their bodies, minds, and breath in order to find freedom from boundaries. She guides her students through mindful movements, incorporating her love of music and providing meaningful messages through themed classes. She teaches a variety of formats including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Power and Yin Yoga.
Mila believes that yoga is not something that you do; it is part of who you are, and that a quiet mind, an open heart, and deep breaths serve us beautifully, both on and off the mat.
