Mimi loves yoga because it can be an embodied art form, a life style, a tool for therapeutic relaxation, a means for shaping and strengthening, or a form of spirituality. In her classes, she offers a Hatha Vinyasa practice that encourages an inner listening, as she leads students to personalize their practice for their own needs. Her mission is to help transform students’ bodies to be stronger and more flexible and also to aid in removing mental and emotional obstructions so they may have a more balanced and healthy energy flow. Mimi is deeply grateful for the wonderful instructors she studied with in earning her 200 hour certification, and the exposure to the many facets of this beautiful practice that were a result of her intense immersion. In addition, she is currently continuing her studies in the 500-hour training, again with gratitude for the depth of knowledge being passed through teachers in both the local yoga communities and by visiting instructors. She believes that yoga is a lifelong practice and that it is never too late to awaken to joy and to follow your heart!
