Mimi was introduced to yoga while at University studying dance professionally. She found Yoga not only exponentially improved her strength and flexibility but also improved her positivity and stress levels. Yoga taught her to show compassion not just to others but to herself as well, empowering her in her day to day life. Through yoga, she gained a better understanding of her body's and her mind's strengths and weaknesses.
Since 2009, Mimi has worked professionally in both the independent and commercial dance sector, performing in a diverse range of styles and environments. In late 2011, she undertook her Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training at Byron Yoga Centre, in Byron Bay. Upon completion of her training, she began teaching public yoga classes under the name of 'Cherish Yoga' in Brisbane. In March 2013, she completed her Level 2 Yoga Teacher Training course, again at Byron Yoga Centre. Mimi currently lives and works in London, where she hopes to expose herself to a whole new range of creative ideas and teaching processes.
