I came to yoga after 2 back-to-back pregnancies. I was teaching fitness classes at the time and loved how yoga helped to balance and compliment all of the other classes. I attended my first Teacher Training with YogaFit in October of 2010 and FELL IN LOVE! I had only practiced the physical aspect and was immediately captivated with the spiritual and mindful parts of the practice. I began teaching weekly classes and completed my Teacher Training at Yoga Okoboji in February of 2012.
I went from a nervous, scheduled, my-way-or-the-highway, type-A person to a happy, relaxed, go-with-the-flow person over the last 3 years. Although I still like schedules and organization I am thouroughly enjoying life and all that it has to offer. There will always be work to do, but I can honestly say that yoga has greatly improved my marriage, my parenting and my outlook on daily life.
I currently teach 4-5 classes a week and a class series designed just for Beginning Yogis. When you attend one of my classes you can expect a high energy class with an emphasis on alignment and a feeling of playfulness. I want everyone to leave with a smile on their face and happiness in their heart.
