Miriam decided to begin practicing yoga in order to avoid going to the gym, but instead found a profound and holistic practice which could sustain her well-being and balance on every plane. She is a 500-Hour ISHTA Certified and Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher, who knows the power of honoring where you are even as you seek to expand yourself. She has studied extensively with Yogiraj Alan Finger in New York City and is also certified in Reiki and Marma Points Therapy.
Miriam holds an MFA in Acting with a focus in voice work from CUNY Brooklyn College, and undergraduate degrees in Philosophy, Theatre, and English.
Recently relocated to the Bay Area to deepen her practice of Shadow Yoga, Miriam offers private, group, and corporate classes with a focus on self work through the pathways of the body.
