Monica St. Angelo met yoga in 2004 and fell in love. Oh wait…she met yoga a few years earlier and nearly passed out trying to breathe “right.” So it was love at second sight. A former dancer trained at the Kansas City Ballet and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, she was attracted to the physical practice of yoga that felt so healing and revitalizing to her body. She soon realized the less tangible benefits were even more transformative, both on and off the mat. In her classes, Monica wants to meet her students where they are and help them realize those benefits: compassion, groundedness, balance, and stillness. She strives to create a supportive community where her students feel physically challenged, empowered and revitalized after a practice….all while having a little fun!
Monica loves to teach Vinyasa flow yoga with an alignment-focused, non-dogmatic approach. She has studied several traditions and styles of yoga with teachers such as James Miller, Gabriel Azoulay and Sadie Nardini and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher.
