Advanced studies of anatomy/physiology in relation to asana illumined her fascination with fascia—the uninterrupted web of connective tissue traversing the whole body. She is most interested in developing an approach to healing the body which synthesizes Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Anatomy with Hindu and Buddhist philosophy; hence, her teaching style integrates thoughtful, slow-flow movement with stillness. Each class with Monica offers an opportunity to capture and sustain a sense of ease and well-being through safe, smart yoga practices grounded in both tradition and science.
