When I’m teaching, I know I’m standing right where I should be. Yoga came into my life when I was 17 and in a bad relationship. I realized I had to work on myself and started waking up earlier in the mornings to practice Yoga.
In 2009, I landed a receptionist role at Yogaviva. Within a month, I was also taking care of the studio, covered a number of classes, did Thai Massage and marketing event days. It was a versatile job with long hours and it showed me that my passions was in teaching. I increased my personal practice and study with Duncan Wong, David Sye, Chris Chavez and Jaqui Wan. I have also attended the Dutch Acrobatics Festival twice. I achieved my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training qualification at Teach Yoga, with Elena Voyce in 2011.
Namas Yoga grew over time, not over night. I’ve taught at gyms and events such as: Mind, Body, Spirit show, Fling Festival, Virgin Active, La Fitness, Unique Results, Hummingbird studio, Chelmsford Happiness project and Kids Inspire. I’ve also taught Hot Vinyasa Yoga and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Everywhere I go, I see it as an opportunity to practice and progress whether I’m at home or abroad. It’s important for me to practice daily and to continue being productive. My Yoga practice and teachings are so close together. Everything I’ve experienced, I bring to my students.
