Traveling by sailing boat across the oceans for over 10 years helped her see the effects that the external world has on the mind. She used to feel complete, focused, acceptance and calmness surrounded by sea while feeling unrest and distracted when returning to land. This realisation created a awareness in her that needed further exploring.
TEACHING STYLE AND EMPHASIS
Nancy is a lively, energetic, caring and attentive Iyengar yoga teacher. She has completed the rigorous 3 year Iyengar teacher training program and teaching a lot ever since.
In her classes she passes on the energy that her yoga practice brings her. She is guiding students lovingly and safely towards the benefits yoga brings. She makes contact with each student, correcting, adjusting and teaching how each body can develop in its own unique way.
After returning to Amsterdam yoga became the path and the tool to explore the depths of body and mind. Yoga gives Nancy new energy daily and simultaneously the focus and calmness to contain this energy. “Yoga enables you to stay active and quiet in everything you do” Nancy.
Iyengar yoga with its focus on alignment, integration and therapeutics ignited the spark that has lead Nancy ever since. After experiencing the advantages of Iyengar yoga , Nancy started teaching in 2010 in Thailand Portugal and Holland.
