Driven by a deeper inner call, at the age of 18 (in 1994), I started in the path of hatha yoga and meditation with my first Yoga course. In 2008 I studied one year of Hatha yoga teachers training (Hatha yoga with feldenkrais influence) with Kim Altes in Barcelona, but it was only when I knew my master (Swami Satyananda Saraswati) that I realize that yoga more than a practice was an experience, an experiential knowledge, that you can recognize it in the silence, in the present. From there and under his guidance, I started studying classical yoga philosophy, meditation, the foundation of Hinduism, Advaita Vedanta and Kashmir Shaivism, all branches of the same tree, the Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism. From here and under his guidance I attended seminars and retreats on: the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali (2 years), Narada Bhakti Sutras, the Katha Upanishad, the Bhagavad Gita, Shiva Sutras, the Paramarthasara and the Pratyabijñahrdayam among others.
The same year I started studying Indian classical Dance (during 5 year) under the guidance of Ratna Paul mainly Kathak, a bit of Mohini and Bharatanatyam. She brought me into what she called devotional dance, the primal thrill of the dance itself, dancing to what takes you to your subtle and beautiful nature.
In 2010 I started Sanskrit studies (4 years) in Devavani a center of Sanskrit studies in barcelona, with Miquel Peralta, a Saraswati prize winner in Sanskrit poetry.
After became a mother I realized that this new phase in my life required a lot of attention and it was then when I decided to take this big step in my life changing the work of architecture and a doctorate. In 2014 I started a Hatha yoga teachers training in Yogalife belgium under the guidance of Sanjeev Bhanot, Manoj Bhanot both formed by the Bihar School of Yoga. Currently I continue under the guidance of my teacher Swami Satyananda Saraswati and colaborating with Advaitavidya a group for the preservation and diffusion of Hinduism and traditional yoga philosophy.
To expand the Yoga is to open the doors to our interior garden, let us open ourselves to this recognition.
