My teaching style is influenced by the schools of Satyananda and Iyengar with a focus on body alignment, adjustments, stress management and the natural breath. My classes are creative, energising and with plenty of humour thrown in. I empower students to push themselves whilst, at the same time, developing awareness to prevent injury. Every class is tailored to the specific needs of the student group from seniors who are taught in chairs to help support their spines to children where the classes are fast and flowing to keep them engaged and to avoid loss of concentration.
I am particularly committed to the physical and mental benefits that yoga and mindfulness can bring to teens and children. I adopt a holistic approach to life and believe yoga therapy should be taught in all schools, medical centres and care homes. Fuelled by a passion for yoga and a desire to share my experiences, I advocate that no-one is ever too young or too old to start practising the wonderful art and science of yoga.
