I teach Hatha Yoga which offers the chance to experience a selection of postures (asanas) moving at a slow flowing pace. Focussing upon alignment, the union between the body and the breath and relaxation. Hatha Yoga can be considered a moving meditation with the focus upon pranayama (breathing). Benefits can include increased flexibility of body and mind, increased energy levels, improved feelings of wellbeing, developing deeper self-awareness and self-confidence. My class is suitable for all levels including beginners.
I have been practising Yoga for 20 years and I started my yoga teacher training with the BSY (British School of Yoga) in 2013. After my 200 hour training I passed with Distinction and Graduated in 2015 as a Hatha Yoga Teacher.
Post qualification I have decided to continue my learning and I am currently studying an Advanced Yoga Teaching Course. I hope this will further develop my abilities as a teacher by embedding the depths of yoga philosophy and giving me the skills to advance my practice. I have gained such gifts from my Yoga practice and feel the benefits extend far beyond the mat. My passion is to share and experience the beauty and wonder of Yoga with others.
