Hi, I'm Nicole. Yoga has been a part of my life for many years, and I have practiced daily since 2011. This practice has given me so much - and continues to support me to grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. I completed my Level One Yoga Teacher Training with My Health Yoga in 2014 and have worked privately with teacher Santina Giardina Chard since 2013. I am deeply grateful for the wisdom and support my teachers continue to share with me, as well as for the beautiful community of yogis I am privileged to be a part of.
I fiercely believe in the power yoga has to change lives for the better, and no one is ever too old, sick, out-of-shape (fill in the blank with whatever you want) to start. I was 44 the first time I stood up from a backbend unassisted - never thought I'd see the day. It's amazing what the body can do! The practice - approached with integrity and humility - is a process of healing, and there is always so much to learn, so much deeper to go - wherever you are is the perfect place to begin! My classes are energetic, and have a strong focus on breath, bandha, drishti and alignment. I strongly believe that through attention to these physical aspects of the practice, we access our deeper selves; developing mental resilience and compassion, as well as physical power.
