My journey in yoga began in 1996 at the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Ashram in the outskirts of Bangalore, India. Treatment for my grandmother ailing with Alzheimer’s disease brought me there and the peaceful, nurturing, rhythmic nature of the ashram kept me there. I completed the teacher training program that year and taught on and off for over a decade. More recently, in North Carolina, USA I regularly conducted hatha yoga classes in libraries and temples. I aim to incorporate breath, balance, strength, flexibility and relaxation in each class. My other passions in life include food, nature and most of all…being ‘mom’!
