I completed my Yoga TTC in Thailand in January 2009, through Jungleyoga, Ashram. Shortly after the training I assisted my teacher, Randall O’Leary in his next two teacher trainings.
I have studied Mysore ashtanga with Matthew Sweeney, Danny Paradise, Arne Espejel, Dave Ridgeway, Matthew Vollmer, Ana Claudia Lopez, Kristin Berg, S. Mitchell Gold, and Pashumati Tina James.
With a love for the yogic path of Tantra, I have studied with Agama Yoga School in Thailand, completing their Tantra One, Tantra Two, and Tantric Rituals courses.
I have visited the Sri Santosh Puri Ashram in Haridwar, India. The Ayurvedic ashram is situated at the foothills of the Himalayas and along the banks of the Ganga River. During my extended stays I would surrender to the disciplines of ashram living while studying Ayurveda, the ancient healing techniques of most Eastern yogis, and ancient yogic texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. I also studied the painting of planetary yantras and since then have developed this as a practice of personal meditation.
In October 2010, I had the honor of attending His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet's week-long teachings at his temple, nestled in the Himalayas in Dharmashala, India. The Dalai Lama's teachings of the week were on the impermanence of all things, and that true happiness lies in non-attachment to the material world.
With my twelve years of travelling, and studying with enlightened masters, I have channeled my own divine inspiration to create 'Ananda Vinyasa;' A gentle and sweet style of yoga infused with Ashtanga principals of breath and alignment.
I have taught yoga through the Naramata Heritage Inn in Naramata, BC, Nita Lake Lodge, lulu lemon, Yama Yoga, and Jivamukti Yoga School in Whistler, BC, as well as the Blooming Lotus and Sanctuary Resort in Thailand. I also teach private lessons
