I'm a teacher in the Integral Yoga tradition, and trained at the Satchidananda Ashram in Virginia, USA.
Integral Yoga is a beautiful form of hatha-based yoga, and each class incorporates not only asana practice but also relaxation, pranayama and meditation, leaving the practitioner feeling refreshed and peaceful in both body and mind. When practised as a complete lifestyle or discipline, Integral Yoga also includes Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Japa Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga.
The classes are suitable for all levels, and beginners are welcome. Students of any age and condition are encouraged to explore each posture at their own pace while mindfully observing what arises without judgement.
By balancing effort and surrender, the practitioner is able to discover the optimal flow of energy to achieve greater flexibility, strength, poise, and mental focus.
Besides promoting the health of all the systems in the body, the Integral Yoga system is designed to draw the practitioner into a physical and mental stillness that leads to an experience of one’s true nature, which is ever peaceful and happy.
Yin yoga classes are also offered either as studio classes or private sessions. Yin Yoga is about the Art of Letting Go, using release to deepen into the postures rather than effort. It's a beautiful form of yoga which contributes to great sense of well being and 'unloading' of life's pressures.
Pre-natal yoga classes and post-natal yoga classes are also available.
Other offerings include SOMA breath which is an energised full-body breathwork meditation based on the ancient principles of pranayama. The modern twist is the brainwave music, and you breathe in beats to access deeper states of consciousness and release old patterns of conditioning.
Based in the South of France, and with an extensive background in yachting, I teach in local studios, in private homes and on board yachts. I also do outdoor yoga, day and weekend retreats. Lessons are in both English and / or French.
