Nora was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia and after living overseas came back to the area to be close to family. Nora swam competitively growing up, rowed crew in college, and has continued to be active in sports as an adult. Nora found yoga after suffering multiple injuries and fell in love with the mind-body awareness that developed through her yoga practice. She believes in living an active and balanced life where there is room for both challenge and compassion, and encourages students to take the practice of self-care off the mat. As someone who balances a beltway “day job” and carpools, Nora uses her sense of humor, creative sequencing, and funky playlists to create an escape from the day-to-day hustle. Nora completed the Mind the Mat 200 hour yoga teacher training program and a mentorship program with the studio. Trained in Vinyasa Flow, Nora’s goal is to have every student leave both sweaty and smiling. Yogis of all levels will leave Nora’s class feeling refreshed and raring to go.
