A native from New Mexico, Nydia’s yoga journey began as a college student. After taking her first yoga class, she found how peaceful and free it made her feel and it quickly became a huge part of her life. Her fondness of health and exercise and her curiosity of the mind and body have enabled her to pursue yoga as a lifestyle. Over the years, Nydia felt drawn to the practice of yoga and trained and practiced at numerous studios under various teachers. Always feeling complete on her mat, Nydia finally fulfilled her dream of becoming a yoga teacher and received her 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training certifications from Yoga Den in Jacksonville, FL. She considers herself as a forever student exploring new forms of yoga and furthering her education.
Nydia believes that the mind, body, and soul connection is a sacred one, and one that should be nurtured and inspired. She provides a space where students can feel welcome and comfortable. Her classes are created to allow for growth and creativity, while maintaining a fun and safe place for everybody.
When not on the mat, you can find Nydia spending her time outdoors bicycling, walking her toy poodle on the beach, or taking road trips with her boyfriend. She enjoys reading, blogging, antiquing, traveling, and cooking.
