Teaching at Raffa since 2006. Pam Teaches Vinyasa Power Yoga, its taught as SIMPLE & POWERFUL. A fun high energy practice set to music. This class is pure JOY, Its Yoga for everyone! Students often comment that class is fun, lighthearted and challenging. You just need to bring a smile and trust to explore all your possibilities. In Pam’s class it is not uncommon to see students of all levels. The most important message is to begin where you are. Many levels will always be shown. New students new to yoga or new to Raffa always feel welcome at arriving to pam’s class’s. There are always smiles shared and laughter when needed.
After years of fitness training, an injury in 2003 brought Pamela to her yoga mat. Yoga helped rebuild her strength both physically and emotionally while recovering from back surgery in 2005. Having to work through sciatica pain and nerve damage Pamela knows how to modify or begin a yoga practice. Through sweat and tears she found her way.
Pam’s Power yoga is a fusion of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Forrest and Bhakti Yoga. This Fusion of Power Yoga focuses on Core Strength, pose alignment and self-examination, you will flow with a smile yet slow down enough to explore your body in the pose. Core conditioning is very popular in Pamela’s class, Pamela describes this as an awakening of your starfish energy from the center out. She is a firm believer that a strong core is important to a healthy back. Her belief that regardless of injury, age or body type anyone can practice and benefit from yoga.
Pam has completed a YogaWorks 200 hour training, 75-hour Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training with internationally acclaimed teacher Ana Forrest As well as yoga fit level 1 certification. Most recently pam completed her RYT-500 graduate of the “Change your Life” Bhakti Yoga Teacher Training taught by Raghunath & Sondra Loring.
Antigravity Aerial Yoga is another form of yoga that Pam teaches. Anti-Gravity® Aerial yoga uses the Harrison Anti-Gravity® Hammock. This yoga prop acts as a soft trapeze that will support you through simple techniques to advanced poses as well as a close to the floor restorative flow.
When Pam is not teaching Yoga she is spending time with her husband Michael, their two teenagers and their Goldendoodle Jessie. Pamela loves to oil paint, ski and just hang at the beach.
