GANAPATSY (PATSY FINGER)

First and foremost, I am a mother and grandmother. These roles permeate into my teachings as I nurture and care for my students as my family. My role as a teacher and healer is shaped by my background in yoga, crystals, Native American medicine, intuitive healing, and various forms of massage therapy. In my life I have owned and run two successful yoga studios: one in Boca Raton, Florida and the other in Johannesburg, South Africa. These yoga studios gave me the platform to host and learn from incredible yogis and healers, such as Aadill Palkhivala, Rod Striker, Alan Finger, David Swensin, Mika Nelson, Naisha Ashain (book of stones) and many more. My greatest teacher however was Agaste Gadahi (Grandmother Jean). She was a 10th generation Cherokee medicine woman who adopted me as her own and taught me the traditional ways of the Native American people.

With the onset of covid I was lead to change the medium through which I helped people. I started to teach on Zoom and with the help of my daughter we developed a Youtube Channel: Yoga with Ganapatsy. These spiritual yoga videos incorporate all my teachings and include a wide variety of topics such as animal totems, yoga philosophy, crystal healings, and much more.

As a person I don’t take life to seriously. My favourite saying is I know nothing but there is great power in knowing nothing. Another one is you don’t stop playing because you grow old you grow old because you stop playing. I truly believe we need to love big, laugh lots and always remember that we are divine beings of light having a human experience.
