Patti Prema is a Yoga Teacher/Therapist & the owner of Thomaston Yoga Studio: a Boutique Yoga Studio in Midcoast Maine.
She has a background in the allied health profession of Occupational
Therapy (COTA/L) and blends her unique knowledge of the body
systems with her yoga education working with people throughout
In the fall of 2001 Patti received a Yoga for the Special Child™
certification while studying at Satchidananda Ashram with yoga
therapist Sonia Sumar. During this time Patti was honored with
meeting Sri Swami Satchidanada, and received her sanskrit name
Prema which translates divine love.
It is truly divine love that guides her in the path of yoga. Patti
Prema earned the YogaKids® Facilitator credential in 2001 and the YogaKids® Trainer credential. She offers joy-filled therapuetic classes through her Circle Time Yoga for Children™ especially for children with special needs.
In 2006 Patti Prema began using the therapeutic benefits of yoga in
Geriatric Rehabilitation. She continues this work daily in her therapeutic work with children & adults as an Occupational Therapy practitioner & Yoga Therapist.
In 2009 Prema became certified as a Kripalu YogaDance Instructor.
