I am a certified Yoga Teacher (ERYT 200) through Western Yoga College in Riverside, and have practiced yoga in various forms for 20+ years. I am also a certified Buti Yoga teacher and Pilates Trainer, and offer Yoga and Meditation classes, workshops and retreats.
"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self!” I saw this quote somewhere and have no clue whom to attribute it to, but it is a beautiful definition of yoga. For me, yoga has truly molded my life into a more disciplined, aligned, and happy journey that I enjoy sharing with others!
I have practiced Ashtanga yoga for many years, and decided that I wished to deepen my practice by going through a training program to become a teacher. It took a bit of time to figure out what I wanted to teach and how I wanted to teach it, because I believe that the best teachers share what they truly know, believe in, and practice from the heart. I teach yoga classes that integrate my training and certification based in Ashtanga, and other forms of yoga, pranayama (breath work), and meditation practices to ease the mind, body, and soul.
In my classes the breath informs the movement; reawakening our innate connection with the elements with a focus on postures that are natural and progressive, because I know first hand that movement heals.
In private practice, I am a Massage Therapist (CAMTC ID# 56843) specializing in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy (Expert Level), Advanced Manual Therapies, Energy Medicine and Sound Therapy.
