Rachel, co-owner of Thriveability, is a yoga instructor, art teacher, costume designer and yogi herself. She has been practicing yoga for over a decade, and decided to become a yoga instructor in order to help bring balance, awareness, health and happiness into other’s lives. She uses hands-on adjustments in a nurturing and skillful manner to help students relax and connect more deeply with their practice. Rachel has a strong knowledge of alignment, and helps students understand how anatomy plays an important role in their practice. Her warm and encouraging presence during her yoga instruction make her classes refreshing and personal.
Rachel has earned her in Costume Design for Theatre from UCSD, and worked professionally designing theatre, film, and dance productions. She has also been teaching art and design to people of all ages for over 10 years. Based on these creative experiences Rachel offers a unique artistic perspective to her yoga instruction by encouraging people to learn to be more present in the moment both on and off the mat. By gaining more mindfulness and presence she hopes her students can better appreciate the little details that make life wonderful.
