Rachel is committed to expanding her knowledge of these ancient practices and is currently participating in Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist training at the Himalayan Institute. She chronicles all her yoga happenings on her blog, Capricious Yogi.
Rachel was first turned on to yoga while pursuing her BA in Theatre and Dance at James Madison University. She was instantly hooked and could not think of a better way to be in the moment than by practicing yoga. Not only was yoga great for honing her performances, but it also provided her the tools to manage her ulcerative colitis, a condition she had for over 20 years. Rachel is passionate about the positive affects the yoga practice can have on health and regularly leads the workshop, Be Good to Your Gut: Yoga for Digestive Health. She and her husband joyfully welcomed their first son in October 2014.
