Rachel discovered yoga in 2006 while exploring the benefits of meditation. She found that her yoga practice assisted in decreasing stress and anxiety while promoting proper functioning and flexibility of the physical body. As time progressed, she was intrigued to learn more.
Rachel went on to receive her 200HR HYTT Certification under the instruction of Swami Sarasvatyananda of The Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago, IL. She is recognized as a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her focus is to encourage proper structural alignment while students move deeper into their practice at their own pace. Rachel uses a number of techniques to strengthen the body, tame the mind, and improve the spirit, each session being completely customized to meet her students needs. As the Beatles sing, “When you move beyond yourself, you may find peace of mind is waiting there,” Rachel promotes a session for students to let go of their outside distractions and find peace within.
