Rameshji was born in 1964 raised and educated in Mysore;he holds a Bachelor of Arts together with a diploma in Yoga & Nature cure from Karnataka University. Ramesh has been practicing Hata yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga for more than 26 years under the instruction of sri BNS Iyengar and Balaji Rao Thombre.
He is a lifetime member of Mysore Yoga Association ®. Honored as Yoga Sire – Award in 2013 by Government of Karnataka. Honored also as Yoga Bushana in 2014 by Himalaya Yoga Foundation. He has successfully conducted several state level competitions by personally inviting of legends like , K. PattabiJois as chief guests. Further to his most recent award of Yoga Bushana, Ramesh has been elected as joint secretary of Mysore Yoga Association in 2014. He remains a guest teacher at BNS Iyengar yoga institute together with a special selection of schools both locally and internationally.
He has been awarded both national and international yoga championships, some of his achievements include being prized at the International Yoga Festival in 2003 Pondicherry. Gained 2nd place in South zone Yoga Sports Championship 2002 – South India Yoga Federation®. Successfully passed the Yogasana Referee Examination conducted by Karnataka State Yoga Association ® in 2004. Becamea champion in Kho-Kho on 1984 and 1985 organized by Mysore University.
Ramesh has trained and created hundreds of able national and international yoga teachers in all parts of the globe who in turn are successfully teaching their students young and old. By nature Ramesh is a dedicated, patience, creative, and skilled teacher with an excellent sense of humor who is endowed with the rare gift of adopting his teaching method to the skill level of the individual pupil across the spectrum-beginners, intermediate and advanced alike this rare ability endears him to all of his the students and results in high student satisfaction. Students consistently rate him at the top in their feedback.
