I received my 500hr yoga certification from Prana Yoga College with Shakti Mhi in 2006. This 3 month intensive program was a turning point where I realized that yoga was not just a hobby or exercise routine but a lifestyle. My commitment to this new lifestyle included continuing my yoga education with several workshops including ones with Karuna Erickson, Bernie Clarke, Yogi Vishvketu, Dashama, and Anodea Judith to name a few.
In 2010-2011 I spent 6 months in Thailand teaching yoga and meditation retreats at Koh Ra Ecolodge as well as participated in a 10 day Vipasana silent meditation retreat at Suan Mokkh an internationally renowned Buddhist Meditation Center. This was an amazing experience which really helped to expand my horizons as a teacher. All my classes have an emphasis on the breath, flowing through the body and finding that union between mind-body-spirit that is Yoga.
My training was primarily Hatha Flow with the emphasis on staying true to the true roots of Yoga; honoring its tradition. In addition to Hatha flow I also teach Pranayama, Yin Yoga, Meditation, Advanced Flow, Restorative Yoga and The 5 Tibetans.
