IT ALL STARTED ...
At my first yoga class in my early twenties after moving to London from South Africa. I have since dedicated my life to expanding and deepening my practice, first completing my 200 HR Yoga Alliance teacher training with Shakti Power Yoga led by Valentina Candiani in 2014 and started teaching my first classes shortly after.
As my understanding of the practice grew, I felt a strong calling to know more about its ancient origins so decided to immerse into Yoga Philosophy with The Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies in 2016, which further strengthened both my own practice and my teaching.
In 2017, I discovered the wonderful joy of pregnancy and felt a need to further understand and acknowledge the adaptations that are required both physically and emotionally during this time. I qualified in yoga for pregnancy with Dr Uma Dinsmore-Tulli and it is with deep gratitude that I say with this training and understanding, my pregnancy and birth of my son was an incredibly empowering experience.
I also teach yoga for both children and teachers in schools and have been doing so since 2016. These environments can be pressure filled and calls for the time and space for both children and teachers to allow their creative and joyful selves to be embraced.
With close to 10 years of devotion and dedication to the practice, I encourage all students to practice with spontaneity by stepping into the unknown. My intention is to infuse the teachings of yoga with the journey of life and to guide you with your dedication and patience to embrace self-love, self-acceptance and self-realisation to elevate your personal, spiritual and professional growth - one serene breath at a time.
I look forward to moving and breathing with you.
