Rebecca began practicing yoga over 10 years ago as a way to balance her then hectic life as an international school teacher in Moscow, Russia. With a history in dance and ballet, she was immediately attracted to yoga and the sense of tranquillity it gave her. With time, however, she learned that yoga is really less about physical flexibility and turning yourself into a human pretzel, and more about learning to live life to its fullest by learning how to let go and by breathing fully into the present moment.
In 2007 Rebecca completed her foundation 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher training at Centered Yoga Institute in Thailand with a focus in Ashtanga yoga and pranayama. Following the birth of her son, Paul, Rebecca completed an additional training in Pre- and Post- Natal Yoga in 2009. In February 2010 she was awarded the 500 hour Yoga Alliance certification. She has been teaching yoga to both adults and children for more than five years.
Rebecca is dedicated to furthering her understanding of this ancient science through her own personal yoga practice. In addition, she participates in training workshops at the Centered Yoga Institute on a regular basis. Her teachers include: Neil Barker, Paul Dallaghan, Mark Darby, Manfred Gauper, Rolf Naujokat and Mary Weden.
