I have a 200 RYT in Baptiste Inspired yoga, which provides a good foundation for a strong yoga flow. I focus a great deal on my breathing techniques, moving through the poses with conscious breath in a steady rhythm. I have a gentle, beautiful style that translates comfortably to my students. I have experience teaching all ages, from children to older adults, so I is able to make her classes fit the unique needs of every individual.
I am currently pursuing a doctorates degree of occupational therapy to increase my knowledge of the importance of physical and mental well-being, and to improve everyday occupations of life. I have also received additional training in myofascial release and children’s yoga. I have taught power vinyasa flow, restorative flow, yin yoga, children’s yoga, chair yoga, and yoga for specific recreations.
I found yoga after completing my bachelor's degree in animal science when I recognized I wanted to engage with people across the lifespan to improve their quality of life. My goal is for my students to find the balance between mental calmness and physical strengthening. I also incorporate music to aid in finding the present moment of mind and body in class. I strive to cultivate a community which shares kindness, compassion, and unity between one another.
