Renee’s journey with Yoga began as a teenager attending chanting evenings at Siddah Yoga Ashram in Fitzroy. After completing her BA in Performing Arts, her passion for movement, voice and breath continued onto Group Fitness instruction and Therapeutic Massage.
With the acting game being less than lucrative she soon realized the yogic path was the true way to fame and fortune :)- or rather integrity and balance.
Renee's initial teacher training was with John Ogilvie at the Byron Yoga Centre. This incorporated a gentle and integrated approach to asana, breath and concentration, with a clear focus on safety and working with individual ability. Renee believes in a fun and explorative approach.
All classes integrating asana, pranayama and a short meditation to finish. Students are encouraged to work at their own level with plenty of options given for all.
Since completing her training in India 2011, other influences have included Donna Farhi, Paul Wooden and most recently Anahata Giri - who has deepened her passion for Prenatal Yoga.
Renee is the resident massage therapist at Harvest Yoga specializing in Therapeutic and Prenatal treatments.
Renee is passionate about supporting and nurturing the mother-to-be through pregnancy - this most sacred journey of transformation.
Renee provides a safe and supportive environment, giving you the opportunity to rest, connect with your baby, build strength and stamina for the birthing process, learn to focus and connect with the breath and sound, and enjoy the company of other women on this sacred journey.
