I started teaching Yoga more than 4 years ago and apart from conducting Yoga sessions I have been privileged to assist and also lead several 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training programmes in India and Thailand for different schools. I have also now registered my yoga school, namely 'Yoga Spaace' with Yoga Alliance and offer 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha and Vinyasa Flow Yoga.
I trained in the discipline of Yoga under two very experienced teachers, Sujata Nerurkar and Dr Renu Mahtani, at Param Yoga, in Pune, India. It was here that I completed my Foundation in Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and Medical Yoga Therapy in that I trained further in Vinyasa Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Science of Pranayama, and Viniyoga, a practice propounded by Sri Desikacharyaji, predominantly focusing on movement and breath coordination to work therapeutically. To further deepen my knowledge and practice I trained intensively at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantri Ashram, in Neyyar Dam, Kerala and in Yoga Therapy from the Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga Mysore-Kerala School in nearby Varkala. I also trained under James Winstanley of AYM Institute, UK in an in-depth program in Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Massage.
I enjoy conducting group and individual classes and am also very passionate about the therapeutic aspects of Yoga. I have been working individually with people dealing with health challenges by following the “Viniyoga” approach to therapy.
Classes I offer in small/big groups and also personal coaching:
• Hatha Yoga
• Vinyasa Flow
• Aqua Yoga Therapy (Water based routines)
• Prenatal Yoga
• Viniyoga – a functional and therapeutic approach
• Yoga-Pilates – general and therapeutic
• Pranayama and Meditation
