Rhiannon began her yoga journey in 2005 while recovering from a serious dance-related injury.
After starting with home videos and the “Yoga Mind & Body” book from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, she was instantly hooked and became a regular student at the Yoga Center of Columbia for several years, practicing under the Anusara lineage. Through regular practice, not only did she experience a shift in strength and flexibility, but also a shift in attitude & awareness, which radiated out into her personal relationships. After completing her 200hr Vinyasa-based training in Baltimore with Kim Manfredi (2011), Rhiannon sought out additional trainings in Thai Yoga Therapy in which she has over 200hrs of domestic & international training, including an advanced level certification. She is also certified in prenatal yoga and continues to seek more knowledge and ways to make her yoga classes inclusive and safe. What initially started as a journey of physical recovery, and desire to share this practice with fellow movement artists, turned into a lifelong spiritual & emotional journey and career path.
Rhiannon is known for her fun, yet nurturing spirit, emphasis on alignment, and ability to cater to individual needs. One of her favorite personal affirmations in yoga and in life is “It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it.
