My yoga journey began in the fall of 2001. I was staying in a youth hostel overlooking Hong Kong getting ready to embark on backpacking trip through South East Asia. A fellow travel companion offered to teach our group some yoga.
Little did I know that first yoga class would take me on a journey farther and closer to home than any other journey I have ever ventured on. That day started me on a path that would wash away the wear and tear of years of atheletics and countless hours at a desk job.
Yoga changed my life.
Yoga healed my body and soul.
In 2011 I taught my first class. Teaching opened a brand new landscape. I was instantly enamored.
In 2012, I completed my 200 hour certification at the Blue Lotus yoga studio in Raleigh, North Carolina under the direction of my long time mentor and teacher Jill Sockman. I continued my studies in advanced teacher training at the Yoga Tree in San Francisco with Pete Guinosso, Sean Haleen and Jill Janaki Abelson. I have also had the pleasure of learning from Mark Whitwell, Heather Tiddens and Baron Baptiste – some of modern yoga’s finest.
As a teacher, I wish to share my experiences of the bumpy road we call yoga. I strive to cultivate a safe environment to explore the inner and outer journey of yoga.
