I am a yogi cyclist. I've been an avid cyclist for over 25 years, practicing yoga for 18, and teaching yoga for 14. I discovered yoga while pregnant with my first daughter and on a cycling hiatus. Over the next couple of years I grew my practice and began teaching. When I got back on the bike I discovered that the yoga practice made me a better cyclist. Much better. I'm a firm believer that every athlete should include yoga as a part of their training routine. Cycling wrecks my yoga, but yoga vastly improves my cycling… and every other aspect of my life.
I completed her 200 hour RYT (registered yoga teacher) program with YogaFit, became an E-RYT shortly thereafter, and started leading teacher trainings for YogaFit. I spent 6 years with YogaFit leading Levels 1, 2, & 3, Prenatal, Seniors, and Strength trainings. I've has also had the privilege of taking teacher workshops under Shiva Rae, Rolf Gates, Jeny Otto, Sadie Nardini, Kristen Cooper, and Baron Baptiste. In addition to the physical aspects of yoga, I was raised on the yogic philosophy and principles handed down by Paramahansa Yogananda. From a philosophy standpoint my mother has been my greatest yoga teacher. I teach a flowing class in the Baptiste style that you will find challenging, accessible, and rewarding; mind, body, and spirit.
