Yoga is not what a lot of people think it is. It is so much more. The teachings and tools of yoga support us physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have been practicing for over twenty years, and teaching for over six. The more I learn, the more humbled I am by the depth and breadth of yoga. As a yoga therapist, I have witnessed the transformative effect that simple practices adapted to the individual and minor alterations in habitual patterns (mental as well as physical) can make to a person’s quality of life.
Operating as Yoga Well, a variety of weekly classes are available to join. Class styles vary in intensity and pace, some more energetic and flowing, others with slower transitions. There are also specialist classes to support people with health conditions. Yoga philosophy is woven into the classes, connecting body, breath and mind to deepen the experience beyond just a physical practice. Injuries and health conditions are accommodated in either a class or private setting, as appropriate.
I also provide individual yoga therapy to those living with illness or injury to enable them to better support their own wellness.
Private yoga is available for those who want targeted support in developing aspects of their yoga practice or the convenience of a flexible schedule for yoga.
Yoga Well also provides free yoga classes to people in the community who would otherwise not have access to yoga.
