Yoga and Meditation are an integreted part of my life since the beginning of the seventies. I have been teaching in many countries among them Norway, Schweden, Denmark, Germany and Argentina (since 1976). The School in Germany was founded 1988 and Harbergen Yoga Retreat Center 2008. Harbergen Yoga Retreat Center offers intensive retreats with classical yoga, breathing exercises, deep relaxation and tantric meditations (according to the teaching off Swami Satyananda and Swami Janakananda). Here you can participate in a living process which will give you the opportunity to discover new dimensions of yourself. The groups are small - up to 12 participants. Harbergen Retreat Centre is an oasis of peace and quietness, just 1 hour from Bremen and Hanover. The centre has a large and beautiful garden and is surrounded by forest and seemingly infinite fields, broken by groups of oaktrees. We are known for the deepgoing teaching and our delicious vegetarian food.

An exceptionally experienced and lucid teacher

I first took a lesson with Hamsananda in 2006. I had already participated in an intense three-month retreat with his teacher (and soon to be my own teacher) Swami Janakananda Saraswati, so I wasn't expecting any great revelation during this two-hour lesson. I was proven wrong.

His clear guidance and superb intuition gently challenged what I thought I new about yoga. During this class, I was brought out of my comfort zone and was made aware of new and profound ways in which to approach the classical yoga methods.

Since then, my relationship with Hamsananda has been a rich learning experience, allowing me to discover and fine-tune the more subtle aspects of yoga and meditation. I'm privileged to count him as one of my teachers.
