I discovered yoga after the birth of my second child in 1999 and found it to be the perfect way to bring balance to the chaos inherent in life with a baby and toddler. I began practicing in the Iyengar style, then spent years practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, and now practice primarily Vinyasa Flow yoga. I completed my 200 hour teacher training in 2009 at the Charlottesville Yoga School and have been teaching Vinyasa classes ever since. My classes are infused with thoughtful, intelligent cues to alignment which are grounded in my study of biomechanics within my Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. I lead students to safely challenge themselves physically in the asana practice while allowing and encouraging them to maintain an inner awareness and guidance so they leave class feeling strong, calm and at peace.
