My personal experience of yoga has been rich and varied. Over the last ten years I have explored many different kinds of yoga and practiced with an array of incredible teachers both in the UK and overseas. My initial teacher training was on a combined Hatha/Ashtanga course with Laura Gilmore and Melanie Cooper through Brahmani Yoga, Goa. This allowed me to consolidate many years of personal practice with the depth of knowledge required to be able to teach. Annually I revisit Goa and the Brahmani community to make my contribution as a teacher, student and assistant.
Here in Bristol I regularly teach Hatha yoga to beginners and also assist Mysore-style classes with Brigid Swanson. For me, yoga forms an integral part of my life and at the same time, my life's experiences continue to flow into my teaching. My intention is to guide students, through their bodies to discovering more about themselves and cope better with the world around them. Using yoga as the key to developing presence and cultivating a deep sense of self awareness and understanding.
