Sam trained with Yogahaven to become a 200hr Registered (Yoga Alliance) Yoga Teacher. Previously Sam trained with The London Contemporary Dance School and holds a degree in Contemporary Dance, specialising in contact improvisation, partner-work, and floor-work.
Being a professional dancer with 9 years teaching experience to all ages and abilities, Sam enjoys combining her passion for dance and yoga by delivering energising Vinyasa Flow style classes with creative sequencing. When instructing she uses a range of vocal tones that correlate with the waves of dynamics in the breath and movement. Sam brings attention to detail in alignment for injury prevention, and focuses on smooth efficient transitions between asanas.
As well as teaching 'Hot Yoga 60' at The Life Centre North & 'Yoga All Levels' at Airborne Studios, Sam currently teaches 'Yoga for Climbers' at Rock Over Climbing Centre- This unique Fusion style class, inspired by her regular Pilates practise, challenges students with powerful core and back exercises, developing into playful exploration of arm balances and inversions.
Sam feels very blessed to practise yoga everyday and pass on her knowledge- Establishing strong bonds with her students and fellow yoga teachers.
In October of this year Sam completed 40hr Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Roger Cole & YogaCampus at The Life Centre North.
She's also excited to continue her studies, starting with Thai Yoga Massage at Sunshine School in Chang Mai, Thailand next spring.

Great teacher, inspiring and very friendly

I've been coming to Sam's classes since I was a beginner at yoga. She is super friendly and instantly makes you feel at ease which is amazing. Furthermore she always demonstrates in her climbing classes which means that as a beginner you never feel lost which I found really useful. Her classes have a nice flow to them and I have found I now have improved flexibility, control and balance.

Very Good

Refreshing to find such a young yet experienced and well versed yoga instructor. Sam has definitely added to my knowledge of yoga, always gives a balanced class, top marks.

Excellent Yoga Teacher

Sam is an excellent yoga teacher. She encourages an awareness and attention to detail that you don’t often find in group classes. I’ve been practicing yoga for many years and along the way have fallen into a few bad habits which Sam quickly identified and helped me correct. Small adjustments make a big difference and Sam has the skill to pick up on the small things which have a great impact when addressed. I would highly recommend her classes, they are well thought out and delivered beautifully and I always leave feeling fantastic. I only wish she had more classes I was able to attend!

Sam is the best!

Sam is very friendly and approachable, she is also very knowledgeable about her practice and body mechanics. She runs an athletic class that I really enjoy and that works really well if you're able to push yourself a bit harder one week but need to be more restful another week.

Sam's 'Yoga for Climbers' classes are excellent. They have helped me to become more flexible and aware of my body and breathing, all of which have complemented my climbing. I always feel great after a class with Sam!

Lovely, friendly teacher!

Sam is really friendly and encouraging. She has a brilliant way of explaining how to adjust and correct poses so that it all just clicks into place. Her classes are a really nice balance between building strength and flexibility.
