Sandi’s yoga journey began in ’08 as a respite from full time mom/wife/homemaker responsibilities. Yoga became a natural source of stress relief and a means for remaining centered in mind, body, and spirit through the whirlwind of life. The physical practice of yoga instantly drew her in, as she is a former professional ballerina and dance instructor. Incorporating the mindfulness & spiritual aspects of yoga just made the art even sweeter and complete. After years of practicing Iyengar & Vinyasa yoga, and establishing a steady home practice, Sandi began pursuing teacher certification so she could share the benefits of yoga with others in the Grayson community. Her training certifications come from YogaFit International and New Day Yoga RYT 200. In April of 2013, she began a Christian Yoga Ministry at Grayson United Methodist Church, offering gentle Hatha Vinyasa style yoga classes with an emphasis on asana, meditation, and pranayama. She married her high school sweetheart 26 years ago and is blessed with four children, one son-in-law, two granddaughters, and various foster grandchildren.
