I am a student at New York University and have been practicing yoga actively for over four years. I was first introduced to yoga when I spent one month living in India training in Ayruveda and Hatha yoga. In July 2014 I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Garden SF. I have created Yoga with a Purpose, a brand that emphasizes yoga tailored to the individual. I believe in bringing mindfulness to every aspect of my students' lives through the complete practice of yoga.

Sarah is great. With each and every class I grow young inside and out. At first I was not so focused but after taking Sarah's class the 2nd time I understood it was not just a yoga class, but working on myself.

Thank You So Much Sarah, NAMASTE

Warm, Welcoming and Enthusiastic about yoga

My daughter and I took one of Sarah's Yoga classes. Neither of us had much experience with yoga. Sarah was so patient and informative. She helped us with the poses while at the same time taking care of every one else in the room. Sarah has a way of making you feel welcome and enthusiastic about yoga. She has the perfect yoga voice: loud enough to hear, but in a soothing and relaxing tone. I enjoyed her class and would definitely recommend her.

Sarah Dittmore is a fantastic teacher!

I took a class with Sarah a few months ago and loved the way that she taught. We had all levels of experience in the class and she tailored a class that was perfect for everyone. She allowed for variations for those who were more experienced and was very capable of explaining and helping with the basics for students who had never taken yoga before. She did all of this with a sense of fun and lightness.

Let's face it, sometimes yoga puts us into slightly awkward positions, especially for people who are new to it, and she wasn't afraid to acknowledge that to make us feel lighter and less self-conscious. That air of "not taking ourselves too seriously" allowed us to play with new poses and to understand that everyone was at different levels and that a yoga practice is "perfect" when you listen to your body rather than try to "look perfect". I loved taking a class from Sarah and would do so again in a heartbeat!

Sarah is a great teacher. I am new to yoga and very inflexible and she knew how to help me push myself while still feeling comfortable. She also was very helpful with answering my questions and helping me understand what was going on with my own body as I went through the class. She is a great mix of super friendly and spiritual and knowledgeable.
