Sarah was first introduced to yoga at the age of 16. Since that time she has trained with many teachers throughout the world and through them has practiced Atma Vikasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Hatha, Vini and Yin yoga. The inspiration for her teaching comes from several different yoga traditions. Rather than dogmatically follow any one particular sequence of postures, she likes to draw on all these influences to keep her classes engaging.
She began teaching in 2000 and was certified to teach by the British Wheel of Yoga in 2007. She also holds certification to teach pregnancy yoga and postnatal recovery and baby yoga. She completed a degree in physiotherapy in 2004.
Having studied Yoga for Pregnancy and Postnatal Recovery and Baby Yoga with Uma Dinsmore Tuli in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and begun her training in ‘Active Birth’ with Janet Balaskas in 2011 (which has been put on hold due to the arrival of her second child!) she now specialises in the use of yoga for active birth.
