I first began my practice in 2005 after having back surgery a year earlier. I came to the mat needing a way to physically recover from this experience- I fell in love, and found that not only was my back feeling much better but also my entire body, mind, and spirit. After several years of practice I decided to take my studies to the next level and completed my Yoga Teacher Training in 2013.
I teach an accessible flow style of yoga that allows anyone to join and practice where they are today. I always offer modifications when needed to allow your body to maintain proper alignment while building strength, & flexibility. I believe in working with your breath through the entire practice in order to bring fresh oxygen to the body, as well as the mind. Flowing through movements, connecting with your breath, and allowing your practice to become a form of moving meditation.
I believe yoga is an ongoing process of coming to our mats, embracing where we are today, and connecting in to ourselves. Each day brings new challenges, and what might have been easy yesterday may be more difficult today. Yoga teaches us to breathe through these times, and to trust ourselves and our bodies, making today’s practice our own, and of course always honoring ourselves.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
