Sarah was taught from a young age the importance of healthy foods, exercise and being close to nature, this became a keen interest of which she started to explore more so from her early 20’s.
She began practicing yoga casually as well as experiencing different meditation techniques, and workshops.
It wasn’t until her life-changing 6 months in Nepal practicing, studying and immersing herself in Yoga with the guidance of her teacher that the seed was sewn and Yoga became a way of life.
Whilst in Nepal Sarah completed a Hatha Teacher Training course and gained certificates in traditional massage, Reiki Healing 1 and 2, as well as co-writing and publishing a yoga book with her Nepalese teacher.
After returning back home to Australia, Sarah found Ashtanga Yoga which instantly became her daily practice and still is today.
Sarah then went on to complete a 200hr Ashtanga Teacher Training a well as deepening her Pranayama practice and knowledge over the years through trainings with Sri Tiwari.
From 2012 – 2014 Sarah joined the team at The Yoga Room in Mornington.
Here she ran Mysore classes, Guided Ashtanga for complete beginners through to advanced students as well as teaching Gentle Hatha and Yoga Flow classes.
Through the Yoga Room Sarah also taught Yoga and Mindfulness for teenagers in schools, camps as well as for specialized programs.
She also played a large part in organising and running cleansing programs at the studio and teaching and assisting at the Yoga Room’s Ashtanga retreat in Bali.
Sarah is currently the Yoga Teacher and Assistant manager at Continental House, Hepburn Springs.
Teaching regular classes of Ashtanga and Gentle Hatha as well as running workshops and retreats.
With love and dedication Sarah continues her studies and daily practices in order to gain experience, to learn, grow and to be of support and guidance for her students.
