I have been learning yoga since the sixties aged nine years old. I started teaching in 1989. I teach yoga influenced by mindfulness and compassion training. I am passionate about how yoga can heal discs in the spinal column and so alleviate an enormous number of back problems. I am even more passionate about how yoga can influence the mind via the polyvagul system - so how we use the body can have a direct impact on how we feel and how our neurons fire and heal. This is important for conditions such as depression and PTSD and anxiety and stress disorders.

Hugely Talented yoga teacher

I have been learning yoga for the past 30 years, on and off. I have practiced yoga with Sarah for 10 years. She is a talented and really well informed teacher, with an incredible understanding of both the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga. I have learnt more from Sarah than any yoga teacher.

Yoga for health

I have been attending Sarah's yoga classes for over 10 years and I believe SArahs kind, gentle and compassionate approach helped me learn and embrace yoga in my life which massively influenced my recovery from severe M.E. Now fully better for 6 years I continue to practice Hatha yoga in a holistic approach to my health and have a huge amount of respect for SArahs knowledge, experience and ability. She is warm, friendly and adapts postures easily for those of differing abilities within a class. I feel she is a great yoga teacher!

A great yoga teacher

Sarah is very welcoming and makes her classes fun and enjoyable. I particularly like that she starts with gentle exercises lying on the floor to ease your back out (needed if you only practice once a week!). She is very experienced and as well as traditional yoga often adds a bit of interest from other modalities/traditions she has experience of e.g. a sequence from ti chi. You can tell from the little extra flourishes, hand movements etc that Sarah is a dancer too. I love it when she chants or finishes with a song as she has an exquisite singing voice, so it is quite a treat.
