I was first drawn to yoga for its physical benefits, but as I continued to practice, I became awakened to something deeper that I had never felt before. I became a yoga teacher so that I can share this experience with others and introduce them to the infinite wisdom and joy of the practice.
I am particularly interested in the ways in which asana can be used as a tool to gain mental clarity and reduce stress, in addition to improving physical strength and flexibility. My goal as a teacher is to bring balance to my students, providing them with skills that will help them both on and off the mat, and connecting them with their deepest self. My classes are vigorous vinyasa flows, combining challenging physical postures and breath work, with particular emphasis on alignment.
I completed my 200-hour training in vinyasa yoga at Sonic Yoga's Center for Yoga Studies in New York City under Lauren Hanna and Johanna Bell, with influence from Shiva Rea and Sri. Dharma Mittra. I am deeply grateful to her teachers and humbled to be part of this incredible 6,000 year-old tradition.
